Hello there! My name is Coach Joan McMahon and I welcome you to the Career Solutions website. I hope you take a few moments to browse around this site to see if you are ready to focus time and energy on your own personal growth & satisfaction.
Career Solutions is an integrated career services firm for professionals who crave career satisfaction and growth. I provide professional career & job search coaching services, career assessment services, and resume writing services. The career products and services I’ve created are based on the mission of providing integrated, high quality career services for you so that you can strengthen your career and build long-lasting career satisfaction for yourself. The solutions are integrated because the work you do in one area connects with everything else. They are high quality because everything on this site has been designed based on feedback from my experience working with hundreds of real professionals with real career issues, just like you.
Most people come to this site with one or more of the following career needs:
1. Career Discovery & Change - A desire to discover and transition into a new career (if they only knew what it was!!)
2. Career Refocus & Growth - A desire to stay in their current field but to refocus their work into a new area so that they can experience career growth and satisfaction.
3. Job Search / Resumes - A desire to learn about how to master the job search project, including job seeking skills and resumes. (And the faster the better, please!)
My role as coach is to guide and support you through the process of discovery while also providing a real world perspective to ground you. We identify together your unique gifts and explore ways of radiating those gifts out into the world. In a creative and supportive environment, we consider options, set goals and design a plan that is specific to your needs and aspirations.
How to Get the Most of your time on this Website: I would start by reading the above 3 issues to determine what your biggest career need is at this point. The Career Programs that address the first 2 issues (Career Discovery & Change, and Career Refocus & Growth) can be found under the yellow Career Discovery button above. The Career Program that addresses Job Search can be found under purple Job Search button above. Information on Professional Resume Writing Services and Career Assessments are found under the green button. For a listing of all the FREE stuff availabile on this site, click on the "FREE Stuff" radio button, which is just to the right of my photo/logo area at the top of this page.
If you feel you are interested in learning more, I would click on the button to the left on any page called "FREE Career Checkup" so that you can set up a free, no-obligation phone meeting with me to discuss your career issues and possible solutions that may benefit you. I can also review your resume and give you professional feedback.
